We welcome four new retail tenants to Hillside Village as it breaks ground on a five-phase renovation to be completed by the end of 2018. The new tenant additions and renovation plans will provide the community shopping center with modern exterior updates while preserving the center’s original features that Lakewood residents have known and loved since the original center opened in 1954.
The new retail tenants include Session Pilates, Villa Nail Spa, The Little Things, and Hillside Tavern, a new dining concept by Brooks and Bradley Anderson, and executive chef Nathan Tate, owners of Rapscallion, Boulevardier, and Veritas Wine Room. The newly leased space totals 9,580 square-feet and enhances the retail, service, and dining offerings in the 169,229 square-foot shopping center located on the corner of Abrams Road and Mockingbird Lane. The additions complement the current tenant mix that include local favorites like White Rock Coffee, Olivella’s Neo Pizza Napoletana, Dream Café, Manny’s Lakewood Tex-Mex, Stein Mart, Tuesday Morning, We Yogis, Playtri, Pinot’s Palette, Hillside Shoe Repair, and Crest Tailor.
The renovation will incorporate the installation of modern design elements such as new wood canopy soffits, steel façade elements with wood and metal panel inserts, and refinished plaster façades with a brighter color palette. All dated tower elements and façade projections will be removed and all exterior lighting and roofing will be replaced. Additionally, Hillside Village will develop a new and improved parking lot and sidewalk system allowing for easier traffic flow and pedestrian accessibility. The center will remain open to the public while upgrades are made.
